This interactive publication was created as part of the Perspectives Program, and in partnership between the Purdy Pavilion long-term care home and Emily Carr University of Art + Design. The book was co-created by Eva, Lena, Sue, Mary-Ann and Lilian. The book contains retellings of some wonderful stories, highlights, moments and anecdotes from Mary-Ann and Lilian's lives. The stories are unpredictable and at times even playful, and the pop-up and interactive illustrations reflect these qualities.

We had 4.5 visits to conduct Mary-Ann and Lilian's marvellous stories and 1.5 visits to listen to feedback on the physical book from their perspectives. In total, 6visits resulted in "Bits and Pieces: Unfolding the Marvelous Adventures of Mary-Ann and Lilian," a co-creation project of three designers and two non-designers.

Together, we selected some stories to put into this publication. We hope people Mary-Ann, Lilian and their family members will have as much fun going through the book as all we had creating it.
